Done & Dusted.

Done & Dusted..

After 10 weeks of training I am all done and the results aren't the ones that I was
aiming for, but they are pretty dam close and I am pretty stoked.

Thanks to everyone who helped and thanks to Brendon for helping me set goals!

Cricket

If Only..

Everything looks better in hindsight. If I knew I was going to cruise on my first cricket outing
of the season like I did today then I would've started training last year! For the first time in
a good five years I felt under control of everything at the crease and played with no limits.
Although I only scored 37, it was a fluent and classy innings (if I may say so myself). I felt
fast and fit between the stumps.

Hindsight, eh!

D-Day

D-Day Approaches..

Man the battle stations, D-Day approaches. In three days I will re-test myself after
10 weeks of training and I have somewhat mixed feelings about my results.

What if I am worse?
What if I am heavier?

What if I am slower?

I think the results should prove me wrong. I have done the work and now it's time to
see what the tests have to say.

At least I am not having to storm the beaches at Normandy..

Refereeing

Refereeing

I have spent the last few weekends refereeing various football tournaments in Timaru and I now
feel for all the referees that I have ever abused over my time as a player. God, they cop a lot of stick!

I can only imagine how much it must piss some referees off when there is a player consistently in their ear about the most petty of this and usually the player is wrong! That's not the only issue. I spent have spent 9 hours fielding on a cricket pitch standing up and still I have never been as sore as I was when I finished refereeing for the weekend.

To top it all off I have nasty blisters. Both my toes look like this.

Filthy 50 Circuit. Yuk!

The Filthy Fifty

Did my first of the 'Filthy 50' yesterday. It is death.

I didn't even do a full set of 50 on every exercise. I technically did a 'Filthy 40' and as good
as I felt after exercising I felt like death this morning. I can only imagine what I will be like
tomorrow morning.

However, no pain, no gain.

Music Choices

Music Choices for Exercising

Thought I'd do a wee post with a couple of my favourite songs to exercise too and a couple of albums.

This, is a one way ticket to getting pumped up. Lets be honest the whole Project X Soundtrack is a go'er. If you can get your hands on it I recommend giving it a go, even if its before town on a Saturday!

Prior to Cricket the mood mellows out a little and I prefer something along the lines of Fat Freddy's, Six60 or The Beautiful Girls (TBG).

I'd be keen to hear what others listen to. Drop a comment.

Weekly Loads.

Weekly Loads & Comparison

Below are all my weekly loads and at the bottom is a comparison of them all.

New Beginning

Training Program + Training Plans

This is the Training Program I designed for myself. The sessions are set for the first six weeks until cricket starts and then changes from Week(s) 6-12. I only trained for 10 weeks.

This is the circuits and interval trainings I have set for my training program.

Evaluations

Evaluations + Results.

Before I started the training program I did some evaluations and testing to assess my current fitness levels and skin folds. The results are on the table above, also on the tables and the final results and the differences from start to finish.

I have not added the Muscle Mass, Body Fat Mass or Waist/Hip Ratio as I haven't seen my final InBody Results.
